The Wasteland Travel App provides you with instant access to key booking details; a trip checklist and itinerary; a shop for booking options and merchandise; notification alerts for your trip and booked options; and the facility to explore points of interest and maps of the resorts. Also (for some trips) the option to join a friendship group, to be used for allocating accommodation, as well as the option to check-in to events in resort using QR codes.

NB For authenticated staff admin users only the facility to scan QR codes will require allowing the App access to your device camera.

Q. Is the App free?
Yes the App is totally free.

Q. Do I need to already have an account to use the App?
A. Yes if you haven't done so already you will need to register on https://booking.wastelandtravel.com to create your account and login credentials. The same login can then be used for the website and the App.

Q. Do I need to be online to use the App?
A. Your device will need to be connected to the Internet in order to first login to the App and authenticate your access. Once you have loaded your account, trip, and resort you will be able to continue to use the App without being connected and therefore avoid incuring significant data usage. You will only require a connection for anything transactional e.g. updating your account details.

Q. Can I turn notifications on and off?
A. Yes it is in your control to enable and disable notifications so you can opt-out of receiving alerts if you wish. We do however recommend keeping this feature enabled if you want to ensure you don't miss critical information about your trip regarding for example arrivals and departure travel details or timings and updates on events during your trip.

Q. Is the App secure, is my personal data safe?
A. Yes absolutely. ALL data is transferred over HTTPS so that your data is kept secure.

Q. Does the App require any special permissions?
A. The only optional permission settings required are to allow push notifications if you want to receive them (can be turned on/off anytime), and to allow access to the device camera to scan QR codes (feature only available to authenticated staff admin users).
